Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

DropWheel is made by Abdulrahman ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the DropWheel app and this website handle, why, and who else sees it.

2. Your files

DropWheel converts, compresses and edits files on your PC. Your files, their names and their contents are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and the app works without an internet connection. The app doesn't collect usage statistics or crash reports.

3. Activating your license

The app goes online only when you activate a license, when it rechecks the license about every 30 days, and when you deactivate it. Each time it sends:

• Your license key, to check that it's valid.
• A device code, made by scrambling your Windows installation's ID, so a license counts each PC once. It can't be turned back into that ID.
• Your computer's name, so you can tell your PCs apart in your Lemon Squeezy order page.

These go to our activation server, which runs on Cloudflare, and from there to Lemon Squeezy, which keeps the list of PCs your license is active on. Our server doesn't store them. Like any connection, these requests also carry your IP address.

On your PC, the app keeps your license and trial details in a file that's encrypted for your Windows account.

4. Buying DropWheel

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing address and payment details, and handles them under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card details.

We can see your name, email, country and order details in our store dashboard. We use them only to deliver and support your license, to process refunds, and to keep records the law requires.

5. This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers, and its fonts are served from the site itself. If you try the look picker on the home page, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers it. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

6. When you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and what you send only to reply and help you.

7. Who we share information with

Only the services that make DropWheel work: Lemon Squeezy for payments and licenses, and Cloudflare for hosting this site and our activation server. We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it. We never sell it or use it for advertising.

8. How long we keep it

Order and license records are kept for as long as your license exists and as long as tax and accounting laws require. Emails are kept as long as we need them to help you.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you, and you can deactivate a PC at any time from the License page in the app on that PC. Some records, like invoices, may have to be kept by law. For payment details, you can also contact Lemon Squeezy directly.

10. Children

DropWheel isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects what the app sends, we'll mention it in the release notes too.
